This pre-marriage screening test consists of drug and STI (STD) testing. It is done in some countries before marriage; e.g. Iran, and some African countries. Our pre-marriage screening package puts these tests specially together to make this easy to do. It consists of:
2 Blood Tests:
- STI test: HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis
- Blood cell examination: to exclude diseases such as sickle cell and thalassaemia
There is no need for an appointment to do this pre-marriage screening test. After ordering it, you will receive a confirmation message with a map and directions attached. You can then go to Patient Reception at The Doctors Laboratory with a photo ID (passport or driving license) to have a blood sample taken. The laboratory is open 7am – 7pm weekdays and 7am-1pm on Saturdays.
You are required to bring a valid photo ID with you at the of the test such as a passport or driving license.
Why do this test? These are usually done as a pre-marriage requirement by some countries.
Time Taken: 2 working days *. They include a doctor's explanation of the meaning of the results.
Pre-marriage screening results will be e-mailed to you once completed. We can also send a hard copy of the results to you by post after being signed and stamped by a doctor.
